ShamRok Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 ok i just got this 2000 shee, piped, jetted, boost bottle, you know basic mods, with holeshot hd tires, i was just wondering how long of a swing arm i should get to hook better in dunes and hard dirt trails Quote
decon Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 well to hook up better, you dont lengthen your swingarm, you shorten it. you can get your stocker shortened -2 by www.quicksandmotorsports.com for about 130. although its not too good for dragging in the dunes, it will hook up like crazy in the dirt, and still be real good in the dunes and for jumping (except for dragging in the dunes ) . alot of people on the hq have -2 swingarms and love it, they say you wont regret it. Proquad101 Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 I would go with a -1 or -2 like decon said if you go to short you cant do anything but wheelie in the sand. I took my banshee to snake hunt weekend and left my -3.5 ls swingarm on it and I couldnt do anything but wheelie. Quote
ledofthezep Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Love mine & primarily dune. It's not like you can't do anything but wheelie, wheelies are definately easier to do, but it's nothing uncontrolable at all, I have no complaints. The only time I really have problems is when dragging, high RPM 2nd gear starts can get a little hairy...but I don't have my bike setup to drag, I like riding in general. On the dirt, it's night/day. ShamRok Posted April 23, 2005 Author Report Posted April 23, 2005 thanks for all the help i'll probably go with the -2 it sounds like it should work pretty good Quote

Ryda85 Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 how do those extenders work? i was looking into doing that exact same thing....best of both worlds......just have to swap a chain Quote
