350miller Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 Will everything on my 1987 banshee swing arm work with the 2003 swing arm. I'll be using the bearing carrier from the 2003. The 2003 is what they call a round house style isn't it? The threads are stripped out on the 1987 swingarm and it is a pain to adjust the chain. Quote
cb67rs1 Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 the banshee doesnt have a stock round house style swinger , but yes the rest will work Quote

Roundhouse is the Honda style swingarm with an eccentric axle carrier, just loosen two bolts and use a tool to twist the carrier to tighten chain. 2 minute job! Quote
350miller Posted April 9, 2005 Author Report Posted April 9, 2005 Is that how you tighten the chain on the honda or yamaha? If not the yamaha how do you do it? Good to hear everything will fit. Quote
fixitrod Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 You may need to add a washers to the top bolt of the carrier between the swingarm and the carrier. I think on the 87's they have a washer welded to the outside and on the newer ones it's on the inside. Quote
Dark Ranger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 When I went from a 88' to 02' I noticed that the brake line was also too short. The 02' brake caliper is mounted further back. Good excuse to buy a nice new braided steel line. Quote
