ok i dont know how to mess with the jettin at all so maybe you guys can help....my dad has a 01 raptor with a dg exelerator full ehaust, K&N airfilter and thats it for mods....it ran fine for a while then latly its like bogging like crazy...once i it get out of 2nd with it it backfires and wants to stall...so i cleaned the carbs and it ran fine for a while then went back to the same crap..so i was wondering if any of you can explain to me how to mess with thte jettin to i can get it runnign a little bit better..thanks

did you rejet for the pipe and filter? A good way to tune the main jet on a fourstroke is jet it until it craps out and then jet down a size. If it back fires when you let off, your probley lean on the pilot jet. Make sure you clean your air filter before you tune your carbs.

is the lid on or off?

 

if its on the stock pilot will be fine, run 150/155 mains

if its off, go to a 25 pilot, and 160/165 needle in the middle
