97banshee350 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 ok i dont know how to mess with the jettin at all so maybe you guys can help....my dad has a 01 raptor with a dg exelerator full ehaust, K&N airfilter and thats it for mods....it ran fine for a while then latly its like bogging like crazy...once i it get out of 2nd with it it backfires and wants to stall...so i cleaned the carbs and it ran fine for a while then went back to the same crap..so i was wondering if any of you can explain to me how to mess with thte jettin to i can get it runnign a little bit better..thanks Quote

Banshee~ Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 did you rejet for the pipe and filter? A good way to tune the main jet on a fourstroke is jet it until it craps out and then jet down a size. If it back fires when you let off, your probley lean on the pilot jet. Make sure you clean your air filter before you tune your carbs. Quote
