Advance Timing

Recommended Posts

Did a plug chop yesterday, it looks very similar to 2stroker's chop, so I think i'm good on my main, right now a 320. I'd like to go ahead and advance the timing +4, and I already have a RS adjustable timing plate. Should I bump up to a 330 before advancing the timing, or advance and see how it goes?

BTW...when doing the the chop yesterday, before doing the actual run, I topped it in 5th, kept it running, clutch in, no throttle, and whitish smoke began pouring out of the left side pipe. It was still coming out at idle, so I shut it down for a minute then started it back up, and it ran fine, no smoke, so I continued with my chop. No more smoke after that. Any ideas?
