Titanium Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Did a plug chop yesterday, it looks very similar to 2stroker's chop, so I think i'm good on my main, right now a 320. I'd like to go ahead and advance the timing +4, and I already have a RS adjustable timing plate. Should I bump up to a 330 before advancing the timing, or advance and see how it goes? BTW...when doing the the chop yesterday, before doing the actual run, I topped it in 5th, kept it running, clutch in, no throttle, and whitish smoke began pouring out of the left side pipe. It was still coming out at idle, so I shut it down for a minute then started it back up, and it ran fine, no smoke, so I continued with my chop. No more smoke after that. Any ideas? Quote
Nightrider Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 A combination of very hot pipes and oil accumilation in the pipes, just a thought. Quote
Titanium Posted April 7, 2005 Author Report Posted April 7, 2005 *Bump* Should I up a jet before advancing or not? Quote
2stroker Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 Nope, shouldn't have to. 351341[/snapback] I agree Quote
Titanium Posted April 9, 2005 Author Report Posted April 9, 2005 Good, I did and I love it. Anyone that hasn't advanced your timing yet, go do it. Now. Quote
sredish Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 How far did you advance it? Don't be afraid to go up to +7. +4 is baby shit, you should at least go to +6 to really get much benefit, despite what others say. Quote
