I could use some suggestions on how to get some bottom end out of my banshee and I'm not sure what the easiest sollution would be. I have toomey t5s and the power band hits mid throttle but I'm slow out of the hole. I just bought this '01 banshee and all that's done is pipes and a k&n so I need a good place to start where I can see an immediate improvement. I'm a college student so I don't have a ton of money to spend, but open to any suggestions, thanks.

Buy a 4 stroke :D j/k! Maybe look into a 2-1 carb? Re-gearing? Put on a cool head or mill the head.

No man, stay away from the 4-stroke. how much do you want to spend to get bottom end. I have all bottom end i need right now but it costs a couple pennies. porting the machine with a moderate mx port will do the trick.

talk to boonman on here .030 milled off head and a cut flywheel will be shooting yourass outta the hole :bolt: for very cheap too

Im with Rod... T-5 r mostly a topend pipe... Gearing/ lighten ur flywheel/ bump ur timing up should make a lil' difference on the limited budget!!!

Mostly a topend pipe on a stock stroke motor... I rode JKJK's stroker and wow. Talk about bottom to mid. He does have it ported to match, but that's why I say with a stock stroke motor. :headbang:

Thanks for your help so quickly.

I thought it'd stall out easier also. I'm a heavy guy. Well, it doesn't. It slows down faster which allows me to go into the corners hot and brake late. A lot of races are won by braking more than going. I have not found any down falls to mine yet and I was skeptical. Bit the bullet and I'm glad I did !!! :headbang:

you could just sell the t5 pipes on ebay and buy some fattys. fattys fit with toomey silencers, and sound a hell of alot better. fattys have real good low and mid with decent top end, and come nikel plated. they will rust if u dont take care of them but its not hard. clean and polish when u get mud or dirt on em.

toomey silencers fit on fatties? Anyone got some silencers for sale? any idea what it sounds like? I like the look of the toomeys and the look/performance of the fatties... it would be perfect. :D
