ride like hell Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 i have a 2005 banshee and have only used 2 tanks of gas in it. it now smokes really bad when i am warming it up especially when i start revving the engine to pull out. then it acts like it has no power. then when i finally get going and giving it hell it clears up and starts to acting right. please let me know if this is something i need to worry about because i dont know much about these machines. Did you say you use full choke when you start it? I do and When I give it gas it puts out really thick white smoke. I let it do that for 2 or 3 mins and then go ride it around to clear its throat. It usually bogs and hesitates for a little when I get on the pipe, I guess its from all the excess fuel that was run through it . Then it starts to get all better and then it rips Quote
bigboybanshee Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 It's normal, just don't get on it "hard" until it's fully warmed up, you'll be OK. Also, what premix ratio are you running? If your premix has too much oil then it'll smoke like a teepee regardless if it's warmed up or not. Quote

But ill see in a week or two whrn im all done with the rebuild, did it to me when the jetting was rich the cylinders would load up at idle and when id get her goin it clear up and so would the smoke, i guess it dosnt hurt anything Quote
