Banshee33 Posted March 31, 2005 Author Report Posted March 31, 2005 I look at it this way. No cops to bother us. Getting to old now to be bothered with that s-- now. I have really no place to go now, So who am I to complain. I'm sure you all will agree riding areas are slim at best now and I've been told if you like riding to buy your own land as there will be nothing left sooner or later. I know what some of you are saying though about never enough land, But I will just have to be thankful I have a place to go. Quote
01bansheeke Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 I grew up with roughly 300 acres..It was sold off as I got older, now its only 100 acres. all but 7 of that is leased out for cattle. I bought another 120 about 2 years ago. After its payed off, i'm going to use it as colateral(spelling) to build a house on it. I'm on track to pay that off in 5 more years. HOpefully sooner. You can't got wrong with owning land unless you can't afford it lol. Unless its swamp land, its just going to go up in value. but when it goes up in value, so do your taxes lol. Quote
BigRed350x Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Where you from in Wyoming BigRed? I too am from wyoming, and I'll track up anywhere I swear, you can never cover enough country 347136 Our land is between Cheyenne and Laramie, Between I-80 and HW 287. Where abouts in Wyo are you from? I am always looking for someone to ride with. I mostly ride with some guys and this cute chick from UW. We have a HUGE tractor and have made some good quad-size jumps. Biggest one is about a 60ft gap. Lemme know if you ever wanna go riding. PM me and we can set it up. Quote
BigRed350x Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 You can't go wrong buying land, they don't make it anymore! Even if you buy just a little bit of land, someday it will be worth 20 times what you paid for it. My great grandma sold her farm years ago for $250,000, and now it's worth over a billion. 347484 A billion? That sounds like a lot. All 40,000acres of ours, with Water prospects on 6 different streams, 10 trout ponds (and a shitload of beaver ponds) and registered silver mine prospects and numerous historically marked miners shacks and old ranch houses, our house, barn and all our equipment isn't anywhere near a billion. Does your grandma have genetically altered chickens there or what? Quote
STLBILL Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 (edited) Land has different values in different places. For example: You can buy 18,000 acres on the moon for only $27.15... Click here if you don't believe me. Good luck getting your 'Shee there, but if you can you'll have more air time then your girlfriend's cell phone bill! -Bill Edited March 31, 2005 by STLBILL Quote

Thats a LOT of money for a farm. Seriously. Farms don't even typically have a lot of acerage. Even if you included the price of livestock you would still be no where near a billion. Land on the moon would be pretty cool. lol Quote

LOL If over 300000 people have purchased land for $27 ea. that guy would be looking at one hell of a lawsuit for land he sold that he didn't own in the first place. hahaahaa Quote

SEEMS420 Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Has anyone here bought any land to use to there ATV use only? I'm really thinking of buying some land now. 8 acres to be exact. There is no where to ride anymore and my whole family loves quads. Do you think 8 acres is enough? We really can't afford anymore at this time anyway. It's Recreational land only. 346955 Thats cool i bought a house and 10 acres of land in so. california just minutes of a real big ohv area so we ride all over the place. Quote
