Titanium Posted March 26, 2005 Report Share Posted March 26, 2005 out of curiousity the other day, i took the stem caps off the top of the struts and tapped the valve to see what was in there. in the left side one, was air, greasy smelling air. it didn't last half a second either, it was completely uncharged. I then tapped the right one and some type of fluid was in there, and i'm almost positive it was WD-40 or equivilent. anyway I was wondering what was really supposed to be in there and how i can fix whatever is up with it. I assume it's works shock...with or with out rez? without a rez, you shouls get both air and oil to come out of the servicing nipple, with a rez, you should just get air(nitrogen).
