wvbanshee311 Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 I took my banshee up the road the other day about a mile. on the way back it started backfiring. it got worse the further i went. It quit running before i got back. Now it wont start. It will backfire loudly every couple kicks. It also seems to be binding up. Every few kicks the bike simply wont turn over. I can stand on the kickstand. Try it again and its fine. Would a warped crank cause this problem? Any other suggestions? Thanks Quote
banshee boy 98 Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 pull the plugs look for aluminum. sounds like you broke a piston, and a piece of it is sutck between the crank, and the lower case. quit standing on the kicker. if a chunk of piston is stuck you will break something. Quote

Capone Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 (edited) Yeah, you most likely broke a piston skirt, or ring. I would quit trying to kick it because it can dig into the cylinder walls and really tear shit up. Get ya a 12mm wrench and pop the tops Edited March 22, 2005 by Shee K Quote
