snogimp Posted March 20, 2005 Author Report Posted March 20, 2005 even after it warms up it is the same. I checked my pilot jets and they are what the local dealer puts in bikes for the dunes. My bro in law has a bike just a year newer then mine and his works fine. we have the same pilots Quote
snogimp Posted March 21, 2005 Author Report Posted March 21, 2005 I figured it out. sometime along the line of getting this thing cleaned up and running last year I mistakenly switched the bottom bowls of the carbs. one is so it can pull fuel from the bowl, the other isnt. so I switched them back and the choke works. now that i have the choke working I can tell she is REALLY rich at idle. she starts with out the choke and the second I hit it she dies. thanks for the input Quote

At least you've got a good starting point now. Rare. Quote
MILO Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 idle to 1/8 throttle is controlled thru the pilot jet, or maybe your air screws need tweeked a bit. Quote
