05bansh Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Dont waste your time and $ with octane booster, if you are going to run the advanced timing and over 150psi you are going to need to run at least a 50/50 mix of race/pump gas. Its worth dropping the extra $ on race gas to know your engine is going to be safe, and running good in my opinion. Quote

Its worth dropping the extra $ on race gas to know your engine is going to be safe, and running good in my opinion. 340707[/snapback] i agree... im runnin 19cc domes @ 500' with 175 comp and runnin straight race only cuz a buddy and i bought a barrel of trick 114 fuel cost us only 2.32 a gallon. but i only run it straight if im headed to the dunes, otherwise i run 50/50 around here... i did the octane boost and it wasnt a constant feed of octane so my bike performed good one ride then crappy the next. could have been cuz its an additive so if it sits to long may end up seperating from the fuel in the tank... just a theory.
