1800bigk Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Is the big gear on the back of the clutch basket supposed to have play? I can hold the gear still and rotate my clutch basket about 1/4 of an inch. Is that normal? Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 the cushions under the basket are wore, that doesn't cause to much trouble. it's where the tabs on the clutch plates rub on the fingers in the basket that will cause you trouble,if there grooved up. Quote

Wallrat Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Unfortunately the stock baskets develop that play fairly quickly. Only solution is to get an aftermarket basket. It won't cause you too much grief though. Just change it out next time your doing some mods. Quote
