mrandersontheone Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 By any chance would anyone have a downloadable service manual they can send me via email? I downloaded one but it wont let me print it out because i didn't buy it. Any help would be appreciated. I just put some fattys and powercore's on and trying to get the jetting and the carbs right. I am having some backfiring and my quad is at a buddy house so i need to print the pages that talk about carb synching and idle adjustment. Thanx guys. Quote
BenBB Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I just have a Clymer's at home, nothing on the PC, but if nothing else you can print out the Jetting FAQ below...might not help much with sync & idle adjustment with the TORS system still in place but should help you get the jetting dialed in (BTW a backfire is usually a lean symptom). Good luck. Quote

BenBB Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 With the TORS you'll set the idle speed AND the carb sync with the knobs on the TORS boxes atop each carb, with the TORS eliminated you'd use the cable adjusters on top of each carb to sync them and the idle screws to set the idle speed... mrandersontheone Posted March 5, 2005 Author Report Posted March 5, 2005 I have the Yamaha Service manual in PDF,but it's 18.8 MB. 333671[/snapback] Thanx BdBanshee....i just downloaded the same manual. Quote
mrandersontheone Posted March 5, 2005 Author Report Posted March 5, 2005 I think the backfiring is because it was 30 degrees f here in Anchorage when i started the Shee up. Im not gonna ride till the spring so i think i'll just check the jetting when it warms up a little. Im not riding till the springtime any way with all this snow on the ground. Quote
