05bansh Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 With my cylinder psi I tried premium gas 93 octane, ran like shit. Now I drive half an hour jusst to buy turbo blue which is 110. Runs like a sumbitch. But here in Michigan its 3.99 a gallon. 334061[/snapback] Thats not a bad price! Its $5.50/gal. here in utah. Quote
Capone Posted March 7, 2005 Author Report Posted March 7, 2005 c-12 here in central IL is $7.50/gal. The "Clark Station" that sells the 110 Leaded I was talking about is $4.99/gal, tried some today not too bad. definately take that over 7.50/gal + tax... lol. Quote
Duninshee Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I get my 110 from an oil company here in Utah for $3.94 /gal. I just had to call around and ask who sells the stuff. I mix 50/50. I kill tons of brain cells every time I buy it because I love the sweet smell of race fuel. Quote

Capone Posted March 16, 2005 Author Report Posted March 16, 2005 Update: After running the 110 leaded from the Clark station I've went through about 1/2 tank mixed with yamalube @ 32:1. It is terrible. After sitting for about 4-5 days The shee will no longer hold an idle, and it spits and sputters in the powerband until it is warmed up. I believe the carbs are getting clogged, or possible the extreme lead in it makes it really rich. I'm doing plug checks and finding a rich plug reading, while its spitting and not hitting powerband so I dunno. I'm switching back to c-12. I was also told by the place I buy my c-12 from that it has only a few grams of lead/gal. Other fuels have up to 15-20 grams/gal. Just thought I'd update ya guys... Quote
NEVER SATISFIED Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 well thats crappy!! so far im on 111.. i dont know what kind and right now its sitting with a tank full of 40:1 yamalube mixed.. will let ya know how mine is in a day or 2 when i get it back together... im rejetting at this time. NugShee Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 There is nothing wrong with running leaded fuel. It acts as a lubricant, however if your plugs are getting weak then leaded fuel has a better chance of fouling out your plugs. If your running less then 190psi then you should be mixing your 110 octane with premium pump gas 50/50. or 2gal. race fuel to 3gal pump gas. Also ask your gas station how often they get new race fuel. the higher the octane the shorter the shelf life is on it. Depending on the weather 110 octane can become 105 octane or less in just a matter of a few weeks. Also dont mix your gas with oil until you intend to use it. Quote
