Got a 01 Banshee with the following....

 

K&N Filter/vented airbox

Stage 3 Dynojet jet kit

Wiseco Pistons

Boysen Power reeds & 3/8 spacers

Boost bottle

 

How much should i advance the timing? Im gueesing like +6 degrees?

+3 to +4

No pipes, +4.

 

Have pipes, +6.

 

Go big or go home.... :) Actually, I was running +7 on mine and it ran great that way, I was really happy with that setup.

I wouldn't go over +4 if I were you.  If you do, I'd suggest looking into getting your crank welded.

I am getting ready to install a ricky stator timing plate, I'm just curious why you say that you shouldnt go past +4 without the crank being welded, how does this effect the crank?

 

No pipes, +4.

Same with your response Sredish, how does the timing effect if you have pipes or not? I am just trying to decide how far to advance my timing, my crank is not welded, I have cpi pipes. What do you guys think?
