Guest nightmare Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 I have never tried that, but I bet your pipes would get to hot and burn the powder coat off. Quote
FORMULASPEED Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 you can get high temp clear powdercoat. Quote
Mijski44 Posted February 28, 2005 Author Report Posted February 28, 2005 I don't think they would get too hot, i've seen people powder coat engine parts on their shee's and the powder coat doest burn of or chip. Does anyone know for sure? Quote
ledofthezep Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 I'd get them ceramic or jet-hot coated before I'd powdercoat them myself... Quote

bansha60 Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 I would say it would be too hot, I have a friend that does powdercoating for a living and the remove powdercoat you heat it up to a high temp and it just flakes off. I wouldnt suggest it, wasting your money Word up on the ceramic coat Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 thats hwy they make high temp powerder coating. My local powercoat place is now doing candy colors over the chrome. and it looks amazing, its a chromish colored kinda thing.. The chomre shows trhough, just with color over it. I personally like the plain chrome, but i must admit it looks sick! Eric Quote
dnhyoung Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 I've had my pipes ceramic coated for over a year now, and all they need is just a little buffing now and then. Unless you count the occassional burn mark from my boots. Overall they have held up really well Quote
