But we got 270 FMTV's armored up, so it was worth it. 331604[/snapback] I thought Balad was a pretty nice place compared to some of the holes I lived at before. There you had good food, PX, MWR, and some nice facilities. When we first got to Iraq, I slept in the back of my truck, took bottle water baths (1 per week), ate out of a MKT, and used a porta potty. I wouldn't say that Balad was that God-awful, would you? Quote
