Maverick302 Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 Sounds lean. Any weather changes since then? Check to see if something is blocking the fuel flow to the left side. Quote
Bansheeman1121 Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Yeah i does sound like somthings makin it run lean , ive had the same problem it was getting to much air on one side and it just shut down and dam near got way to hot. Check the intake, also maybe a blown crank seal? Quote
ledofthezep Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I'd check your reeds & stator too. Backfiring is usually traced back to air getting sucked in somewhere, or something electrical. Would definately be worth cleaning your carbs too...my ex's old man had the same problem damn near to the T & it ended up being a chunk of grunt in the main on the side flame'n. Quote
