Duninshee Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 I just bought a set of 28mm PWK's for a KX100 from the dealer and I wanted to know if I should run the needle that comes with them. I haven't been able to run the bike because I am waiting for the cylinders to get back from the machine shop. Do you think I will be ok or is there another needle that I should use? I have look and can't find anythin gon this subject. Mods are as listed below! Thanks Quote
MotulMonsta Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 (edited) Kehin has a needle guide and their should be a number stamped at the top of the needle. If your getting into needle taper then you'get bigger issues. Needles that come with it should be good. Unless they are bent then don't mess with them. 28mm setup. #30 pilot 160 mains and needle on the third clip from the top. Air screw 1-1/4 out. That should give you a good starting point. If it runs better on the choke...your lean..way lean. Edited February 22, 2005 by MotulMonsta Quote
Duninshee Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 The letters on the needles are "NAPF". The carbs are brand new so this is what they came with. Is this what I should run? Quote
