hamuel Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 I running a 180.A 165main 50ish pilot Sounds good starting point. I'll take a top of one my carbs and see what needles i use. I know the stock ones don't work worth a sh** atlest for me. My bike likes it real rich always has, Pilot will probly be rich. THe hardest part is going to get the needle set right. it's going to act as if the other curicets are rich or lean. Quote
rocketboy Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 i did this same switch went to a 150 main with 55 pilots and air screw turned all the way in ,runs like a dream in my elevation . 180 seems so rich to me thats huge for 28/30mm but if she rips cant argue with that!! these carbs are so damn finniky ,alot of guys on here have suffered trying to jet them ,yet there labeled as being one of the eaisest carbs to jet ,stock is easy! these require some real fine tuning, especially the pilots and needle clip adjustment atleast in my case. If I did it all over again. I'd get a Mikuni setup. Quote
