sp1tekiller Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Tried to get the Banshee running again. It sputters then dies and seems to run on only one cylinder I left the plug cable off the left cylinder(one that doesnt like to run) and tried starting it. It started fine on the right cylinder and ran for about 7 sec's then stopped. Put the plug wire back on and it sputterd and diied again. It's got lots of compression, I don't know what's wrong. I have no clue on jetting so I may need to be walked through something like that. Thanks. Quote
sheefreak Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Will it rev if you give it gas? Quote
sp1tekiller Posted February 16, 2005 Author Report Posted February 16, 2005 It would when it was runniing without the plug wire on but with it on it doesn't rev. Quote
sheefreak Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Do you have the tors system on it, if you do, try disconnecting the tors unit and see what happens. Quote

sheefreak Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 If you follow the lead from the parking brake or throttle cable you will find it, just disconnect the wire harness from the box, and try to fire her up. If I remember correctly it is located underneath gas tank toward front of quad, has been a while. maybe someone can ring in and give the exact location. Quote
sp1tekiller Posted February 16, 2005 Author Report Posted February 16, 2005 I disconnected the little black box and it ran on the right cylinder for about 7 seconds then died. The throttle did not kill it, iit would rev up good. Quote
NYCBanshee7 Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Did you try putting in new Plugs? Quote
sheefreak Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Did you try putting in new Plugs? 325018[/snapback] Also, pull spark plug out of left and with the boot on it kick it over and see if you are getting a strong spark,(spark should be strong and blu-white in color, not yellow-orangeish) You may want to turn off the fuel petcock and run out all the gas in the float bowl for the right side so engine doesn't start. sp1tekiller Posted February 17, 2005 Author Report Posted February 17, 2005 I am going to get some new plugs tonight, and I will see how strong the spark is Quote
sp1tekiller Posted February 17, 2005 Author Report Posted February 17, 2005 Well, it's a mystery. I switched the plugs. I turned the fuel on what I thought to be reserve and it ran B-E-Autiful. It shot alot of oil out of the seilencer,s but ran like a dream. Maybe the fuel was on reserver the whole time, and I thought it was ON? I'm not sure now. Quote
sp1tekiller Posted February 17, 2005 Author Report Posted February 17, 2005 Well I figured out what was "wrong" with the Banshee. I didn't have enough gas in it. I had to run it on reserve. It rune B-E-A utiful now. Quote
Bansheerider29x Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 HAHA all that over gas lol. thats cool though happend to me before to. Quote
