stclark816 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 It would have been ahell of alot easier if it was still on the bike. That way you could put it in gear and get more leverage on that mofro. Quote
limitied03 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 ....i usually leave it connected to the swingarm and someone hold the break and a tire and lots of muscle....id use some sort of cheater pipe on that wrench at least thats what i had to do.... Quote
Blacksmith Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 First off, a couple of 2" wrenches are a pretty good investment if you own a Shee. Other than that, judging by the looks of that assy, I would say that you need to use some heat. Get yourself one of those small propane tourches and heat the outside nut up pretty good and give it a try. Good Luck. Quote
NoFear Shee Rider Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 i use a pipe wrench and cheater bar and i never have a problem. hope this helps! Quote
Guest nightmare Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 I use pipe wrenchs and cheater bars. The first time I took mine off they were so tight I had to use some top rail to a fence I had laying around. came right off. Quote
BdBanshee Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Usually you have to apply some heat with a torch the 1st time you disassemble it. Quote
navy00banshee Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 shit i cant get mine to stay tight. they come off really easy Quote
JARE77 Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Get a durablue you will never have to deal with that again cause it will always be loose! Quote
fromygod Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 umm im not tryin to sh*t on anyone but im pretty sure heat on a piece of heat treated steel is bad, weakens the metal, snaps when u land a hard jump. id say the pipe wrench is the best way, just opinion from a "ROOKIE" Quote
