dawgfan Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 I ordered a whole bunch of parts Monday, but my jets, filter, and timing key didn't get here today, some kinda screw up at Vito's, so it will be next week. I gotta ride this weekend so I'm gonna try to get rolling. No local shop carries the pilots, but did find one with a handful of main jets. The only parts I have right now are my reeds (TRD), my T-5's, and got my head milled .030 today. I want to at least get my pipes on. Do you think I can run stock pilots and a slight main jet increase with my pipes and no lid on my stock air box? I didn't think the head work would require a jet change. What about pipes, no lid, and reeds? Maybe stock pilots and around 280 mains? Any ideas would be a huge help. Quote
SANDSTAR Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 Not enough info, bro. Where are you riding(elevation Temp of area what porting do you have ,if any I've run 340 mains on stock carbs at Glamis with t-5s. Just depends on your set up Quote

Around 60 degrees----I hope! Quote
ledofthezep Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 I'd say you'd be alright...be sure & check your plugs before you get to crazy; better safe than sorry. Quote
Banchetta Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 I'd suggest stock pilots, and 330 mains to start, try raising the needles one clip and go from there. Quote

Dakota02 Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 u should be ok because toomey recommends stock pilots, but take it easy at first just to be on the safe side. Quote
