Blue_SS Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 hey last year i installed a hinson clutch basket, and hinson clutch kit and i installed a ez pull clutch lever, and my shee seems to wanna move a lil when fully pulled in while revving ur engine, and i know u can adjust this out somewhat on the lever but i cant seem to get it adjusted where it wont move a little bit, and i have had the shee take off on the starting line at a race and i got red flagged for it, what could this be??? ledofthezep Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Sounds like you're a bit out of adjustment. Got a clymers? There's good info on adjusting the clutch in the manual. Primarily, you'll want the arrow on the lever that your cable hooks to aligned up with the mark on the case, with about between an 1/8-1/4 inch of play. You can adjust on the lever & also with the nut on & screw adjuster on the pressure plate. Hope this helps... Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 The only thing i could think of is that your clutch cable is stretched out. Im not sure but its my best guess. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Sounds like the adjuster screw in the middle of the pressure plate ( adjusts the balll & rod ) needs to be adjusted. Damn, I was trying to use the word "adjust" in as many variations as possible, I'll do better next time Quote
BdBanshee Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 If you have an Easy pull lever, you may want to try putting the cable in a stiffer position and see if that helps. The reason is that it will give you more cable pull which should stop the quad from moving while the clutch is pulled in. I have not been able to get any of the easy pull levers to adjust correctly and not creep forward when in gear in the easiest position. It may be because of the Barnett clutch I'm running, who knows? It may be because of the Barnett clutch I'm running, who knows? I couldn't either, even with a stock clutch on the 92 I rebuilt & traded for the g/f's EX...and it was with a stock clutch. I'm running a dirt digger clutch also, got it dialed in as good as I can see is possible; it will nudge forward just a bit, but not enough to move the bike really. Quote

I'm using the MSR Raptor perch on the medium setting. Quote
RNBRAD Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 My quads done it from day one. Different clutch, lever, cables, everything, still does it. Always heard it was just part of owning a banshee. Quote
