Or do i need to sit there with a blade and scrape everything off by hand? Quote

SANDSTAR Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Take the frame and any other greasy parts to the local self serve power-spray car wash. Get a bucket, set the power washer to "Engine Cleaner" and spray the parts down, then fill the bucket halfway with the engine cleaner, get a good brush, and scrub that crud off. If these parts are going to the powder coater, they don't have to pe perfectly clean. They will sandblast the parts before they coat them. You need to inspect for stress cracks that will need to be welded before it gets coated. Make sure to spray wd-40 on any bare metal areas to keep it from rusting. Quote
