yellabanshee Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 hey all, I have a 2003 banshee and last night after 5 minutes of riding the bike runs great like always.....then the throttle sticks, i also have the tors off..... then after i get the throttle fixed, i start it back up and it acts like the choke is on........so i put new plugs in and cleaned the carbs good..... and it still does the same thing.........spuddering and boging.. iddle is fine and it smokes real bad........if i hit it the bike will hit powerband, but has the bad smoke and spudders. any help would great.....any:) thanks Quote

yellabanshee Posted January 28, 2005 Author Report Posted January 28, 2005 got new plugs in and they are good and tan..... even though it acts like its really rich, smoking bad.....and i had compression check today too.....both are great.... any other ideas......... i did check the tube between carbs, thats good too....... could it be the stator even though the lights are bright thoughts Quote

If you got a clymers, find you an OHM meter & check the stator out according to the manual's specs. If your stator is going screwing, your timing will be effected, resulting in backfiring. Quote
yellabanshee Posted January 28, 2005 Author Report Posted January 28, 2005 yeah, thats all done.......it has been running without the tors for a year but i think i found the problem.......i swapped the slides into the wrong carb that mad it run bad but know i have one slide not going all the way down......the only thing i can think is that the needle is bent any thoughts on that..... runs great now though.........................man, dont drink and work on carb.. hehee Quote
