yamahabanshee1999 Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 the other day i was riding on the ice in negative degree weather and my quad just stopped. i started it up and it started first kick as usual. Then i let the clutch go and it staled and did not move. it would not go into neutral and wen i held the clutch in it wudnt move while i tried to push it but it would start. when i put it in a different gear the tires wud spin but then it would shut off and make a loud noise sometimeswen i hit the shifter while it was started. even when i thought i got it in neutral i would start it and let the clutch out and it would try moving a little but then would shut off. RBD Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Almost sounds like one of the wheel gears in the transmission has seized to the shaft. Cold weather makes oil not work so well until it's warmed up. Just a thought, Ron Quote
