blaster250 Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 (edited) I WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD HURT TO SAND AND POLISH THE DOME ON MY BANSHEE HEAD. IT HAS SOME NICKS IN IT FROM A COUPLE BLOW UPS, WOULD IT HURT TO SAND THEM OUT AND POLISH. ALSO WOULD IT HURT TO POLISH THE INTAKE SIDE OF THE CYLINDERS. THANKS IN ADVANCE Edited January 23, 2005 by blaster250 Quote
RNBRAD Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 No it won't hurt as long as you don't remove too much material with sanding. Though I doubt you would be able to remove much. Keep the sanding light. Polished intakes are really useless and they need to have a certain rough texture. If you want to polish something with a little benefit, polish the exhaust port. This helps with cooling effciency more than anything. Quote

BdBanshee Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 Make sure you don't sand the head gasket surface, unless you do it evenly on a flat surface plate. Won't hurt to clean the nicks up in the domes. Quote
