compose2 Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 im running a factory team yamaha gyt-r filter on my shee. i just bought the bike a few months ago and havent ridden it much. its a two stage foam filter which i know is good for protection. my question is, is it good for added air flow cuz i have toomey pipes, porting, and v-force reeds. i wanna feed it as much air as possible while staying with foam. NMBANSHEE Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 If I'm correct the GYTR filter goes on the stock filter cage not allowing you to remove the airbox lid wich will restrict your air flow. If you want the most air flow with out sacrafising protection I would get the Pro Design adapter with UNI filter and take the lid off then rejet, Rocky Mountain has then for $89.99 P/N=49-551 Good Luck----Josh Quote
compose2 Posted January 22, 2005 Author Report Posted January 22, 2005 i do have the stock airbox but i do have the lid off to provide more airflow. im just not sure how much air the gyt-r filter allows to pass through Quote
