I guess I should do something like that. Well i jsut bought the thing because it was so cheap i couldnt pass it up... But now I know why it was so cheap. There isnt anyway to make the 40mm work.

What kind of carb is it? I don't imagine the carb will run as good as the 35mm. It will probably be a little short on the mid and have a little more top. That thing is so big, it'll be hard for it to draw enough vacuum at idle and low rpms. you should be able to get it to work tho, but you'll have to go through other means. Best thing to do is to sell it and buy a 33 or 35mm, honestly.

make sure somebody didn't modify the boot. I don't think a 40 will fit in the 35 boot.I run a 38 and it was a tight sqeeze.

Well where do you measure it to find out what size it really is

I have a 34mm Mikuni (sp?)... you want it? It needs a choke kit (from cable to lever) and would need to be jetted more correctly. $30 shipped its yours.

if nothing else, it will give you something to try other then that big ole 40mm
