banshdog Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Hey guys, My brother bought a tether for his 450, same one i have (cheapo) no instructions included. Just 2 wires. Unsure of where to wire it in at. Anyone done it before? Know someone who has? Know how to do it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks all. Quote
Wallrat Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Do a search over at www.yfzcentral.com. I got the pro design one and installed it but I don't remember offhand which wires I tied into. If I remember correctly you find the wire bundle down under the oil res. and follow it up to where it splits. One of the wires in the split is green if I remember correctly. You splice the long wire from the switch onto that and then ground the other wherever is convienient. Just doublecheck the color of the wire, the rest should be accurate. Quote
SICK BOY Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Look into it,but usually you can splice one wire to the hot side of the coil, and ground the other wire. Quote
banshdog Posted January 13, 2005 Author Report Posted January 13, 2005 Thanks guys. Found a post over there, something about red and white wires. will give that a try later. Quote
