Just wondering if you guys have ever used the stuff? Would you be able to use it for a whole frame, or is it not real high quality. Just wondering cause my kx frame is real ugly.

Yepper...

If you take your time & prep the frame right it will hold up quite well, a hell of a lot better than the stock shit too...

My best suggestion if you're going the rattle-can route is to get the frame sandblasted; then make sure you use a primer-sealer, then at least 2 coats of paint, followed by 1 or 2 coats of paint.

My painted frame(dupont auto paint) looks & has held up excellent. I do a lot of WOT pasture blasting around here & the clear coat on the bottom & front of my frame hasn't even started to wear through. And for what I spent to do mine, I could do it again about 4-5 times to equal what it would cost to get it PC'd.

Now if I wasn't such a cheap-ass, I'd go with powdercoat...but looks aren't shit to me. :shrugani:

I used that PJ1 Yammie OE blue on my frame. I didn't really put that much effort into it. Just taped off things i didnt want blue and went to town....Looked good for about a month, then started to fade. Still looks good from a few feet away, but up close you can tell it was a half ass job....o'well for 16 bucks it still looks better then the drap yamaha grey it came.

Maybe one day i'll get off my ass, strip er down and take her to get powder coated...maybe not..
