I was told by White Knuckle Racing, that lightened mine, that there is no difference compared to lightening the stock unit or the RS. That is the only reason you didn't get my flywheel Ron  .  Though they did tell me this and how true it is I don't know. They did an excelletn job. Though I would always send my stuff to you or boon first. Didn't know about boon at the time.

Actually they are different, Boonman lightened my Ricky Stator flywheel to the same specs that he does the stockers (or atleast as close to it as he could) and I sheared it in half in under an hour of riding.

You can see the picture of mine on post #29 http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...pic=34432&st=15

I think part of the problem is they balance them from the inside so you can't tell how thick the material is. Boonman can probably shed some more light on this. He's got the specs on mine so he knows how much is too much now.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Hope mine doesn't do that, lol. Well I'm sure if it was going to it would have already.

My flywheel is from Ricky Stator and they claim it has bigger or stroger magnets for better lighting.  Does that matter?

The magnets are larger diameter in the flywheel itself. Therefore you cannot remove as much material. Basically, you can't cut as deep as you do for a stocker. otherwise, you cut into the magnet(s), and you get a result like we see with Push The Throttle's wheel. White Knuckle must not machine enough off of a stocker to know this. If they cut to the same specs as a stocker, they will cut deep into magnets. I was not aware that Push The THrottle's wheel was a RS piece. I did notice the fact that there was no Yamaha part # on it, and thought it was a little odd, but that was about it. Untill the tone changed while machining it. I knew something was up. I stopped, but apparently, I had already gone too far. I vowed never to do a Ricky flywheel, because I didn't know what to expect. Pretty much, a Ricky flywheel is close to an RZ flywheel. But now that I have done one, I can do them now. BD, PM me if you want some measurements on the Ricky flywheels.

I wonder what the weight difference is between the RS and the stock unit? If the RS unit has larger magents then it would have less metal making it somehwat lighter. Unless that is compensated for in another area. Anyone have a clue? I should of weighed them when I had both of them.
