Thats why I already suggesting to swap plug wires. If the opposite cylinder acts up, then its his plug wire or coil...If that doesn't change anything, then its not the coil or wires.. Quote
BansheeEaterKXF Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 i had the same problem ran messed up idled but hit the gas an bla it stalled then it would start for a sec then bla then it would run great for about 25-30 secs then bla so i was like oh i have an air leak nope that 35 carb needed the floats set it was not getting enough gas but the plugs were wet when i checked them so i just went threw the carb an set it perfect runns like a champ now set your floats at 16mm from the bottom of the float bowl to the top of the floats Quote
BansheeBoy17 Posted January 2, 2005 Author Report Posted January 2, 2005 (edited) Well i switched the plug caps tonight and the problem didnt switch sides... I really doubt its my floats because it started doing this whlie I had my stock carbs on, and it continues to do it even after i put my trinity 2into1 intake with 35mm Mikuni on.... I have checked pretty much everything. Pistons still look like new too, not even any carbon build up on them yet since they only have about 14 hours on them. Well... no progress yet..... and i still have NO clue what it could be. The ONLY thing I could think of is MAYBE my right rod bearing is bad, ... and since the cylinder only fires when the choke is out (more gas) maybe it gets enough energry to fire then because of all the gas... also, it only starts with a forceful , fast kick ... if u guys get what I am saying? Banchetta Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Do a leakdown test...that'll eliminate about 20 probabilities... Quote
