cudaz101 Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I almost hate to ask since it seems so redondent...I have read the Jetting FAQ document and WOW what a nice piece to work with. Making my own manual with all the write ups... Anyways...All I want is a starting place for jetting...I think I can take it from there but a starting place would prolly save me a few hours...So here is the deal.. The bike as it is runs lean...I pull the choke outhalf or more in 3rd thru 6th wide open and the thing pulls like madd....Without using the choke it just makes more noise..Not much power on the top at all...The bike as it sits is stock with the exception of the airbox having a bigass hole in the back of it " 2" hole I would guess"...Far as I know this is all that has been changed. Now this is what I am doing to it this week in the way of parts. Pipes " FMF Gnarly" Boysen Rad Valve cage So with that said...Where should I start??? I know the standard 8 sizes bigger for pipes...But how many for the Lien state it is already in??? I was considering starting with 300's or 290's...Dunno about pilots or the needle though... Banchetta Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Get a K&n filter w/ adaptor plate. the stock one will allow sand to get by. W/ the air box mod, filter, pipes and reeds. ........290 mains, needle 4th clip from blunt end, stock pilots this is for summer.. temps colder than 40 degrees, run a 310-320 mains w/ a 27.5 pilot.... BTW...I have yet to play in the sand...I would but there is no sand too close by so mostly ride in the mountains "Dirt/Mud/Snow... Thanks again. Brad Edited December 29, 2004 by cudaz101 Quote
