Ryda85 Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 ok guys i am about to start reassembling the shee up and i started thinking...while its apart should i pop for one of those 495 piece polished stainless steel bolt kits. i have all of my old hardware..its not like i am missing anything i just got the frame powdercoated so i am not sure if i want old hardware on a nice new frame. what do you guys think? does it make a difference? anyone have any pics? is it really worth 180 bucks? Heres a link of a thread with some pics of my shee. Not sure that you can particularly see the bolts but I'm sure they would stick out a lot more if they were stock. Every bolt on it is polished SS excpet the front upper a-arms. Also the kit they sell on e-bay is not the show polished set, it costs a lot more. LINK Quote

Yamahammer Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I would, i bought a bunch of bolts individual and spent close to 100 i bet bought them little at a time. I t will also make reassembly easier.Make sure to use antiseaze on all the stainless bolts Quote

Ryda85 Posted December 29, 2004 Author Report Posted December 29, 2004 ok so basically there are 2 "major" kits. one with 495 bolts.....selling for around 180 and a 470 bolt kit selling for 100. so the question is are the remaining 25 bolts worth 80 bucks? i know that within those 25 are the bolts for the foot pegs and lower motor mounts...not sure what else is in it. as soon as i figure this out all i need to do is buy my bearings then its REASSEMBLING TIME!!!!!
