01bansheefox Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 When you split your motor do you need to put in a new gasket, I paid a shop to tear apart my motor and let me know everything wrong with it, now do i need to pay the shop again to split it and put in a gasket? Quote
racer Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 there is no gasket between the cases, not a printed one at least. the shop should have used whats called yamabond-4, its a liquid gasket maker. and it works great. Quote
01bansheefox Posted December 28, 2004 Author Report Posted December 28, 2004 Ok sooo there is something right? The cases just dont go back together. Quote

Cylinders were on the stock bore Head just needed to be resmoothed $70 Crank seems tight, nothing loose or bent, dont know why i need a new one Reeds dont look dammaged I dont need a oil plug i just needed the plug o-ring.
