SICK BOY Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 Are your plugs tight??What psi are you pushing? Quote
sweetshee4312 Posted December 27, 2004 Author Report Posted December 27, 2004 110 in each cylander Quote
Banchetta Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 thats not much unless your up there in elevation. You should be around 128psi at sea level... Quote
bigboybanshee Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 That does sound a little low but not enough to tear it apart. If it runs good then I wouldn't worry about it until there is actually a problem. If you're having trouble getting it started, loss of power, etc..then I would look into a rebuild. Quote
sweetshee4312 Posted December 27, 2004 Author Report Posted December 27, 2004 it is hard to start, sometime i gotta take teh plugs off and put a dro of gas right into the cylander, but i just did a rebuild liek 5 hrs ago....and passionre bored and sent me the pistons, casue i got it ported at the same time Quote
2stroke_addict Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 could be a crankcase leak ! Quote
sweetshee4312 Posted December 28, 2004 Author Report Posted December 28, 2004 it does not burn any oil though Quote
Banchetta Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I agree, do a leakdown test.. Quote
PassionRE Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 (edited) Sweetshee, your motor is running at 197 degrees exhaust duration and without smaller domes , approx 19's or 18's, the motor is going to read low on compression. 110 in my book is near non-existant compression. Your giving up a ton of power in the low-mid area at those numbers. If the motor idles smooth and low(near 1000rpm) once running and warmed up, the chances of a substantial air-leak in the engine are minimal...Jim Edited December 28, 2004 by PassionRE Quote
