sitttinpretti03 Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 I just recently bought a 03 shee with t-5, k&n filter and outerwear, pro design filter adapter, boost bottle, v-force reeds. When the guy first bought the bike he had the bike jetted with the t-5, k&n, and boost bottle, and the 1" breather in the lid. The later removed the entire air box and now the bike is running too lean. I'm going through exhaust clamp left and right. I think it has 280 main jet and i dont know where the air/fuel screw is dialed that, and the needle also. I run race gas (c-12) w/ 40:1 ratio (maxima mixing oil). i was just looking for a starting point so I can run the bike on the dyno to tune. I usually ride the dunes and desert riding year-around. Thanks for the help Quote
Ducman Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 I'd say about a 320 or 330 main with K&N clamp on filters. Quote
Banchetta Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 I played w/ JKJK's shee at dumont and his shee was running a 350 main, needle at 4th clip from blunt end, stock pilot. He has the same mods as you... Quote

They said for a modified motors to put in the 340 main jet. So are they considering my bike a modified motor? Quote

Try that suggestion and do a plug reading and post a pic. Make sure you do a wide open run in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds, shut it down, coast to a stop, take a pic of the plugs or replace them w/ new one and bring the old ones home to post a pic...We'll help you get that shee dialed in spot on..
