Has anyone used a Big Power 2-stroke sled engine in a Banshee??? I see all the street bike engine applications, as well as others...But I have yet to see a BIG sled engine with that 2-Stroke power...

As the title says...1220cc bigbore Twin sled eng...It is based on the 900cc Arctic Cat eng...The guys at CrazyMountainExtreme use this in one of their sleds. There are many other choices that would put you in the 200+ HP range as well...

So who has done it..??? And if nobody...Why not??

Here is a link the the Engine I am refering to...

CMX 1220

Union Bay Racing is another BIG player in BIG 2-Stroke Power...

300HP 2-Stroke

Think about power transfer..................

Okay, now that you aren't understanding, think about how you are gonna get the power from the engine to the rear axle. Without casting your own case and mating some kind of tranny, your SOL. Now if you were to mate it to a tranny via a belt like, say a polaris trail boss, you would have one fast automatic quad.

What lead you to be an asshole about it escapes me...

I was SIMPLY asking if anyone had done it...OR if anyone had considered it...

AND...The power they make with these engine platforms I linked is incredable...

Fucken Narrow minded Nay Sayers...

OK....Fair enough...But it would be no less of a Banshee than any other total custom out there...Except the fact that it would still be a 2-Stroke which is one of the key elements that seperates the banshee from the other quads...

There are a lot of those bikes out there. Several of them race at West Mi. Sand Dragway(my home track). There are quite a few in Ky that I have seen also that race at Little Sandy in Grayson Ky. They make awesome bracket racing bikes. Go to Planetsand you will see lots of pictures of snowmo quads.

I seen a Few Vid's of an 800 polaris Climbing Chokecherry. A riding friend Seen it in person. Very Fast has belt drive...etc.

can ride it all day two. But it not a banshee but it is a Quad. I think if was going for it I used the NewTransker Port injected 1000cc Rotax :) as my base.
