You may check out http://www.ford-trucks.com for info, or post on their forum. Only ford motor I've had experience with is in my 66 Bronco(1st yr)...170 inline 6'r w/3spd on the column. :D

Bronco.jpg

It's 90% original, I have all the stock parts including suspension, except the original seats & one hubcap. :shootself:

Original engine & drive train.

Think that steering pump is hard to come by....try finding a manual steering box for that Bronco that's in good condition & not valued next to gold. :shootself:

nice looking rig led.

jeez jinx, full of all sorts of info huh? you dont think it could be a cleavlad do ya? the 351m was basically a 400/ big block wasn't it?

Yeah, externally the 351M and 400 are the same. They are both based on the 351C (cleveland) engine. Many people call the 400 a big block, but I don't. The main reason I don't think it is is that the C and M heads will fit on a windsor block since they all used the same bore spacing. You have to tap and plug a couple water jackets, and use custom intakes (or a BOSS 302 intake). The valve train will have to be for a C or M. The reason a lot of people confuse them with BB's is they use the canted (angled) valves like the 370/429/460.

The modifieds quit production in 80, the clevelands stopped in '73 I believe.

I have a problem with absorbing all information that I think is interesting. I don't remember a damn thing in school, but I can tell you a lot specs and facts about engines, heads, blocks, ATV's, motorcycles, and lots of other unimportant information.

I'll try to send you a picture of the '68 F-100 that I built. It was powered by a stock bottom end '68 429 (orginal pistons even) with a set of C8 heads that I ported, old school Offy intake, headers, full MSD igntion, C&S 800 Aersol carb, and a comp 294S solid cam. 3,200 stall, spool, and 4.11 gears made it fun to drive. It was a torque monster. I estimated around 500HP on pump gas.

Led, I love those broncos. They bring hella prices and I can't afford one. I have too many other toys.
