grounded Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 what would be the syptoms of this senario? how is the ball and rod removed? pull the adjustment screw and lock nut out and they sit behind there? thanks Quote
bansheefreak Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 if the ball is welded to the rod it will come out when you take rod out.. otherwise you will ned to tilt machine or dab some grease on end of rod to get the ball out... as for symptoms i think you will not be able to release clutch.. so it will always feel like its in gear even when clutch is in. but i'm not sure... MDS2106 Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 (edited) sometimes you can't even get the rod out try doing a search on it you will find all you need Edited December 11, 2004 by MDS2106 Quote
alcoholbanshee Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 Most of the times I have seen this you have to split the cases to fix the prob. Save yourself the headache and get the pancake bearing mod and this will never happen again! Quote
grounded Posted December 11, 2004 Author Report Posted December 11, 2004 did a search , can't find anything syptom wise , the quad still rolls in gear with the clutch pulled in and will not roll when let out, I did pull the adjuster screw out but nothing behind that..... the adjuster moves the arm with the alignment marks freely, the marks are slightly off maybe 1/8 " twords the right side of the quad. still have slippage in mid rpm range help Quote
