If you're not changing the Carb tops or getting a twist kit or anything, there's not much point to it. TORS just shuts off the ignition in case the carb slides stick open even though you've let off the throttle. It's simply a safety measure to make sure you don't kill yourself when your stuck at WOT and you want to stop...

 

But to answer your question.....YES. Simply disconnect all the wires and your good to go.

 

1)Disconnect both wires from the TORS carb tops.

2)Disconnect electrical wire from thumb throttle

3) AND Disconnect the TORS control unit behind the front left fender (under the front of the gas tank)!!!!!!!!!!

 

This only disables the ignition kill feature when the throttle sticks...nothing else.
