For most practical purposes, what the real high megapixel cameras give you is the ability to crop and still retain a good image. If you aren't going to use a large image or crop a small percentage out of the image a 2 to 3 megapixel is plenty.

The wife has a kodak 3.1 mp and the photo quality is pretty good, zoom, and it came w/ a docking station. Not a bad deal, for just under $300.00. I see that Ritz cameras has digital cameras w/ more mp @ half the cost of ours.
