BrianEb Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I would like to clean-up my handle bar area by removing the red on/off switch and the light switch that lets you switch your lights to hi-lo beam. I've seen this on some shees before but I don't know what it entails. I've already relocated my key to under the seat to clean -up that part of the handle bar. Maybe someone out there knows what I'm talking about Quote
superchicken Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 i think sredish put a trick little led switch for his light on the tank plastic.try a search ya may find it. but your gonna have to get a tether kill switch to hook up,very easy and find the wires for the hi-lo beams and power Quote
BrianEb Posted December 7, 2004 Author Report Posted December 7, 2004 I have the tether kill switch already installed . I followed BlueTraxx.com's instructions to install it to the solinoids orange wire But that still leaves the red on/off switch and the Headlights working. Maybe there is another way to do it Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 i wired a CR style kill button into the black (ground) and black/white wire that go into the handle bar kill switch, I also wired my tether kill into it. I got a on off switch from a parts store and wired the yellow high beam wire into it. I have trail tech lights so i only used the high beams. I make a mount for the sitch and put it on the top radiator mount in front of the handle bars heres my bars Quote

Im no electrician so i dont know that much about this kind of stuff any help would be appreciated. wes Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 the green wire on it was the ground so i spliced that into the black wire that goes into the pod on the bars. the black wire on it i spiced into the black/white wire that goes into the pod. when the black/white wire gets grounded it kills the engine, so pressing in the button grounds it and kills the engine. its not too difficult once you find the wires. let me know if you have anymore questions Quote
