German Shepherd Posted November 28, 2004 Author Report Posted November 28, 2004 Also I am a bouncer at a club now that is in the inter city. Me and 4 other guys throw people out. This also add a danger off what happened to someone. They threw a guy out and him and 2 of his gang friends followed the bouncer home, kicked in his door and they shoot at him with shotguns. Quote
Holyman Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Most Home Depot's will have commercial grade hinges that can be installed instead of your current hinges BUT if you already have 5 hinges on the door, just replace all of the current hinge screws with 3" screws that will go all the way into the studs. Install 3" screws in the latch strike plate AND install 2 new deadbolts on the inside of the door and laminate the inside of the door with plywood. You can use carriage bolts from the outside of the door or use a million screws to attach it from the inside. There's no reason to change to a steel door and frame. It just takes a little common sense. However the door attaches to the frame and however the frame attaches to the studs are the weak spots. Your carpenter should have some vague idea on how to make a door as secure as possible. Ask him. Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 You better have something good in that room, not just stamps or a Barbie Doll collection. Quote
