Trick2stroke Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 I've had my top end off for porting and before I put it on I want to oil/greese the crank bearings but I don't know if you use a certain type of oil or certain type of greese, can any one let me know what I need to use? Thanks. Quote
BdBanshee Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 The crank bearings are lubricated with the 2 stroke oil you mix in your fuel. There is no need to add any additional oil, but you can if you want to. Just don't get too carried away, otherwise you'll smoke up the place real bad when you start the engine up! Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 in the manual it says to put some 2stroke oil in the holes so you could do that but just a little Quote

Trick2stroke Posted November 13, 2004 Author Report Posted November 13, 2004 Ok, well I put the top end on last night, I just put a couple drops of my 2 cycle on it, I was only asking because in the service manual it said to put "engin oil" on it and I wasn't sure what they meant by that. Thanks for your replys. Quote
