I didnt mount it but put it to the back of the rad and it would only fit in two corners. I dont think you would need a high output stator as they draw milliamps. There sealed too which would be good because of the elements. My bike doesnt get hot like it use too. I have a cool head and it would still get hot in the summer but with correct jetting and two 20 fin inline coolers its fine now. Those inline coolers are great. I was not to sure about them at first. But they work. I wouldnt buy the small one. You have to think about the reliability factor you are adding to your bike when adding a fan verses non moving parts that aid in cooling.
