I need somthing to putt around on with my future father in law and fiance, Im leaning towards a 05 400ex or a 04 z400, which would you peops recimmend and why? thanks in advance for th input Quote
ledofthezep Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Seeing how the EX now has reverse, I'd say it's a toss up. Would you prefer Water cooloed? If so go with the Z, if you prefer a bit lighter & better handling, the EX. Honda or Suzuki? Dunno man...ride both & see what you think. I have no complaints about my EX, is a good trail/play bike. But I also have no complaints about the Z400 either, my cousin has one & it's a great bike, no complaints. Quote

Which do you think is faster? Does the 400ex overheat easily with no watercooling? Quote
ledofthezep Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Well my EX is piped, jetted, & filtered...so it'll easily walk away from my cousin's Z. I've never once had a problem with it overheating. The frame is built better on the EX IMO, but I'm not partial to either really. I personally think the EX is better balanced & handles just a bit better than the Z...but that's just me too. Quote
